First Hot Pot Dinner for ah B
Yesterday it seems like everyone went to eat Hot Pot! Of course, that made me want to eat it too! I wouldn’t have mind going to an all you can eat place because you just feel like you get your money’s worth there. However, since the big talk was about Jazz Cat Fusion Shabu, that is where we ended up. This was much better than the one I had before at their Alhambra location because at that time they cooked everything in their kitchen then brought it out to our table (that was before GM and I actually became an item). And that of course is not the right way to eat Shabu Shabu. The one thing I really don’t like about this place is it feels like it nickels and dimes you for everything. I mean come on, cilantro??? Just give me like a sprig or two chopped up, I don’t need a whole garden. Taste is pretty good. I got original and GM got the house special. The combination is not bad.
Cupcakes make her happy
This time, the story began like this….
There’s nothing more important than keeping the pregnant wifey happy. So I decided to stop by Dots Cupcakes in Pasadena afterwork today. Dots is a boutique style cupcake shop, with its cupcakes baked fresh everyday; it has become one of the local favorite. With so many flavors to choose from, it took me a while to figure out which one to pick. Finally I have picked the below six with the recommendation from the cashier.
1/2 Dozen cupcakes: $10.50
Happy Wifey: Priceless
Fourth Doctor Appointment 6/25/11
Had another scare on Friday night, so we went to the Dr’s one week early. But again Dr.. Han put us at ease.
Baby has doubled in size, from less than an inch to over 2 inches.
Dr. Han tried to see if the gender of ah B has been determined, but he couldn’t tell. He did say he had a hunch it could be a girl.
So only time will tell. The next appointment is at the end of July.
Can’t wait until I can feel baby inside…although hopefully ah B will only tap me lightly. Pain doesn’t suit me well.
Father’s Day Weekend 2011
This is my first father’s day weekend, a very special one. Wifey is almost 11 weeks pregnant, and her tummy is growing a lot bigger than I expected. Last weekend we had an unplanned visit to the doctor office, but doctor found baby and mommy are doing well and both very healthy, nothing need to worry about. That’s a big relief for both of us. We also had a chance to see baby swimming inside mommy’s tummy during the ultrasound check-up, I almost had my tears come out. Baby was very active and I’m sure he/she will give us a handful in the future.
I can’t wait to tell everyone our baby is coming by end of the month. Woo Hooooo…
The father’s day weekend kicked off with a Friday night dinner at Izakaya Kan Yuzen in Torrance.
It’s 7pm already, and the sun still up; I love summer time, except the temperature.
Baby Shower Tips @ Babies “R” Us
This is the Boogie Woogie monster…the stuffed animal they gave us for attending this Babies R Us event.
He is the animal for Boogie wipes, the quick effective clean up and relief of stuck on boogies caused by the common cold and allergies.
Hehe… aside from that we got some baby wipes and 2 Avent bottles (4 oz). I thought the Super Baby Shower special event would give us more ideas, but it didn’t.
Everyone that went was far into their pregnancy, so I felt a little silly there. Plus they started a whole half hour late, so I was feeling super tired. All in all it was good to go just because C9 like me, love free stuff!
